Yes — even solid hardwood, with eyes open. Below grade, ground moisture moves solid wood more than anywhere else in the house, so we check your slab and humidity first — and if your basement isn't a candidate, we'll say so and get you the same look in engineered. That's the kind of honest call we make on every estimate.
